Neuroprotective effects of controlled hypotermia

Abstract:

Typ studie: Retrospektivní sběr dat z lékařské dokumentace pacientů, u kterých byla indukována řízená hypotermie. Řízená hypotermie se na pracovištích ARK FN Ostrava indikuje od 18.5.2009. Studie zkoumá pacienty po úspěšné kardiopulmonální resuscitaci. Ke kardiopulmonální zástavě došlo mimo nemocnici, tito pacienti byli směřováni přes urgentní příjem nebo při diagnostice akutní koronární příhody byli převezeni na koronární sál a poté hospitalizováni na oddělení ARK. Na oddělení byla zahájena řízená hypotermie, udržována 24 hodin. Hypotézy hledají odpovědi, zda na neuroprotektivní účinky řízené hypotermie mají vliv i jiné faktory. V praktické části studie rozebírá vliv faktorů jako je věk a pohlaví nemocného, předchorobí, poskytnutí laické první pomoci před příjezdem posádky záchranářů, délka hospitalizace na ARK, doba ochlazení na požadovanou teplotu. Neuroprotektivní účinky jsou hodnoceny podle Glasgow coma scale.

Abstract:

Design: Retrospective data collection from medical records of patients who were managed induced hypothermia. Controlled hypothermia in the workplace ARK FN Ostrava the date 18.5. 2009th. Study examines patients after succesful cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The arrest occured outside the hospital, these patients have been brought through the emergency or for the diagnosis of acute coronary events were taken to the coronary cup and after that hospitalized at the department of ARK. The separation was initiated controlled hypothermia, maintained 24 hours. The hypotheses are looking for answers whether the neuroprotective effects of hypothermia is influenced by some other factors. In the practical part the influence of factors such as age and sex of the patient, anamnesis, providing general first aid before the arrival of the crew, the length of hospitalization in the ARK, time of cooling to the desired temperature. Neuroprotective effects are evaluated according to the Glasgow coma scale.
