Freetekno As A Neotribe

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je popis fenoménu "freetekno" v perspektivě novějších sociologických přístupů k alternativním subkulturám a především jeho konfrontace s Maffesoliho konceptem nových kmenů. Práce popisuje vznik freetekno subkultury ve světě i v českém prostředí. Vychází z dostupného empirického materiálu (tiskoviny, rozhovory, internet, atd.), na kterém ukazuje, jakým způsobem tento fenomén zapadá do trendů popsaných v literatuře. Vzhledem k tomu, že v českém prostředí je freetekno subkultura silně spojena s nejznámějším festivalem této hudby u nás - CzechTekem, věnuje mu pozornost i tato práce. Ilustruje ne něm charakteristické znaky subkultury. České freeteknaře nelze považovat za nomády a proto je vhodné dívat se na Maffesoliho koncept s odstupem. Freetekno subkultura je vynalézavá, tolerantní a otevřená, nesexistická, ekologická, globální, přizpůsobivá, rozptýlená a využívající nejmodernější techniku. Freetekno scéna jako taková se setkává občasně a to převážně na parties. Určitý posun v charakteru české scény lze pozorovat v souvislosti s medializací CzechTeku. Na akci míří mnoho lidí, kteří mají o freeteknu jen minimum informací. V dnešní době se mezi freeteknaři hovoří o tom, že letošní ročník CzechTeku se konat nebude.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is the characterization of the freetekno phenomenon from the point of view of the newest sociologic accesses to alternative subcultures and mostly its confrontation with the Maffesoli's concept of new tribes. This study describes the birth of the freetekno subculture in the world as well as in the Czech Republic. It issues from available empirical material (press, internet, dialogues, etc.) and that way exemplifies the method of engaging this phenomenon into trends given in literature. In view of the fact that in Czech environment the freetekno subculture is strongly tied up with the well known festival of this music here - The CzechTek - this study also dwell on it. It tries to illustrate on this example the characteristic features of the subculture. The Czech freetekno members can't be considered as nomads and this is why to take the Maffesoli's concept stepping back from it. Freetekno subculture is inventive, tolerant and open, non-sexist, ecologic, global, adaptable, scattered and it uses the most modern technology. The freetekno scene as such meets occasionally mostly at parties. There is a visible shift in the Czech scene character regard to the CzechTek publicity in the media. There are many people walking a head for this action without nearly any information. It is said among the freetekno members that this year festival won't take place.
