Questions of Obtaining Data from Foreign Personal Computer with OS Windows XP with Consideration to Situation in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce „Problematika získávání dat z cizího osobního počítače s OS Windows XP s přihlédnutím k situaci v ČR“ se zaměřuje na nelegální nebo pololegální cesty získávání informací hackerem, čímž ukazuje nebezpečí, která hrozí běžnému uživateli počítače. Stručně jsou zahrnuty informace o možnostech ochrany proti těmto útokům, cílem práce ale je především shrnout, co by měl uživatel znát o metodách hackerů, kteří se snaží získat jeho data nebo informace o něm, aby se mohl účinně chránit. Celá práce je rozdělena do pěti kapitol včetně úvodu a závěru, přičemž jádro představuje kapitola „4. Činnosti vedoucí k získávání dat“, která ukazuje jednotlivé fáze útoku. Podrobně se tato práce nevěnuje všem možným útokům, vybrány jsou pouze ty, které se týkají běžného uživatele a proti kterým má možnost se sám chránit. Z toho důvodu také není zahrnuta problematika sítí a podrobný popis brutálního útoku. Jednotlivé hrozby jsou nejdříve obecně definovány a pro lepší srozumitelnost dané problematiky následují konkrétní doložitelné příklady. U jednotlivých typů útoku jsou také uvedeny informační prameny, které lze využít pro zjištění bližších informací, také jsou v práci uvedeny zdroje, na kterých lze získat pomůcky k praktickému poznávání konkrétních nebezpečí.

Abstract:

This Bachelors thesis “Questions of obtaining data from a foreign personal computer with OS Windows XP with consideration to situation in the Czech Republic” is focusing on illegal or semi legal ways of data acquisition by hacker, whereby show dangers, which threaten common computer user. Information on protection possibilities against these attacks is shortly included, but the drift of the thesis is above all sum up, what facts should a computer user know about hacker methods to effectively protect himself. The whole thesis is divided to five chapters including the introduction and the conclusion, whereas the nub is chapter “4. Activities leading to obtaining data”, which shows separate sections of an attack. In detail this work no paies to all possible attacks, chosen are only these, which concern common computer user and which can user himself protect against. On that account also isn't included problems of networks and detailed description of feral attack. Single threats are generally defined at first and concrete sustainable instances follow for the better intelligibility of the query. Information sources are also mentioned in chapters about single types of attack, there are also said springs in the thesis, whereon can be obtained tools to practical cognition of concrete dangers.
