Modern Dance Teaching Methods for Beginners in accordance with Martha Graham's Technique

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Výuka moderního tance pro začátečníky s využitím principů techniky Marthy Graham zahrnuje v první části vznik a vývoj moderního tance v USA, dále život a dílo nejvýznamnější a největší představitelky modern dance Marthy Graham. Druhá část práce charakterizuje obecné a základní principy a pojmy techniky Marthy Graham, přípravná a základní cvičení techniky Marthy Graham na zemi, ve stoji a v prostoru. Dále také obsahuje příkladná cvičení, která mohou být použita v tréninku pro začátečníky a vlastní poznatky z praxe. Je tvořena za účelem možnosti využití jako studijní materiál.

Abstract:

The Bachelor´s thesis called „The Modern Dance Teaching Methods for Beginners“ based on the principles of Martha Graham´s technique is in its first part devoted to the development of modern dance in the USA. Further, it presents Martha Graham´s biography and her career together with the primary principles and methods of her technique as one of the most significant representative of the modern dance. The second part characterizes the general and primary principles and methodology of Martha Graham´s technique, the preparatory and primary concept of her distinctive floorwork, dancing in the vertical position and movements throughout the space. There are also the example lessons and exercises included combining the theory together with the gained practi cal know ledge that can be used when training the beginners. The main purpose of the thesis is thus its possible usage as a study material.
