Tato práce porovnává literární postavy pěti upírek a pozoruje měnící se přístup k těmto postavám, napsaným pro čtenáře 19., 20. a 21. století. V krátké teoretické části je poskytnut nutný úvod do slovní zásoby specifické pro upíří tematiku, stejně tak jako schopnosti vybraných postav. This thesis compares five literary female vampire characters, and observes the differing depiction of these characters as written for the readerships of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.
