Social status and quality of life of men working in the field of social work.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem společenského postavení a kvality života mužů pracujících v oblasti sociální práce. Cílem práce je odpovědět na otázku: Jak muži pracující v oblasti sociální práce vnímají svou kvalitu života a společenské postavení? Práce je členěna do tří částí, a to části teoretické, metodologické a dále analýzy a interpretace dat. V rámci výzkumu je využit kvalitativní výzkum založený na polostrukturovaných rozhovorech. Byla stanovena hlavní výzkumná otázka a další čtyři vedlejší výzkumné otázky. Pro naplnění cíle a zodpovězení výzkumných otázek bylo provedeno pět rozhovorů, každý rozhovor byl dále přepsán, anonymizován a jeho transkripce dále sloužila k analýze a vyložení dat. Bylo zjištěno, že muži pracující v oblasti sociální práce vnímají svou kvalitu života jako velmi dobrou a se svou kvalitou života jsou spokojeni. Co se týče společenského postavení, to muži pracující v oblasti sociální práce vnímají jako dobré, ale nikoliv díky jejich povolání v oblasti sociální práce.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of the social status and quality of life of men working in the field of social work. The aim of the work is to answer the question: How do men working in the field of social work perceive their quality of life and social status? The work is divided into three parts, namely the theoretical part, the methodological part, and the data analysis and interpretation. The research uses qualitative research based on semi structured interviews. A main research question and four additional secondary research questions were established. To fulfill the goal and answer the research questions, five interviews were conducted, each interview was further transcribed, anonymized, and its transcription was further used for data analysis and interpretation. It was found that men working in the field of social work perceive their quality of life as very good and are satisfied with their quality of life. In terms of social status, men working in the field of social work perceive it as good, but not because of their job in field of social work.
