Comparison of response of haemodynamic parameters in load on classical and eccentric ergometer in men with cardiovascular disease

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce bylo porovnat reakci srdeční frekvence a krevního tlaku organismu na mechanicky stejnou, ale i různou zátěž na klasickém a excentrickém bicyklovém ergometru u skupiny mužů s kardiovaskulárním onemocněním. Studie se zúčastnilo 26 mužů s kardiologickým onemocněním, jejichž průměrný věk byl 63,3 ± 8,65 let. Pro trénink na klasickém ergometru byla použita zátěž metabolicky odpovídající VT1. Pro trénink na excentrickém ergometru byla použita zátěž, která by na klasickém ergometru metabolicky odpovídala VT1, ale i vyšší zátěž, která by na klasickém ergometru byla na úrovni CP, zátěž časově odpovídající VT2 a dokonce i zátěž, která by na klasickém ergometru přesahovala zátěž časově odpovídající VT2. Při stejné, ale i různé mechanické zátěži na excentrickém a klasickém ergometru byly reakce srdeční frekvence a systolického tlaku krve signifikantně nižší u excentrické ergometrie oproti klasické. Reakce diastolického tlaku byla naopak signifikantně vyšší u excentrické ergometrie oproti klasické.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to compare the response of heart rate and blood pressure in an organism using mechanically the same but also different load on the classical and eccentric bicycle ergometer in a group of men with cardiovascular disease. The study was attended by 26 men with cardiological disease, whose mean age was 63,3 ± 8,65 years. For exercise on the classical ergometer we used a load corresponding to VT1 level. The men used eccentric ergometer load that would be on the classical ergometer at VT1 level, and the load that would be on the classical ergometer at the CP level, the load corresponding to VT2 level and the load that would be on classical ergometer above the VT2 level. The heart rate and systolic blood pressure response was significantly lower with an increasing load on eccentric ergometry compared to the classical ergometry. The response to diastolic pressure was significantly higher in eccentric ergometry than in classical ergometry.
