Diplomová práca sa zaoberá problematikou intenzívnej starostlivosti a prestíže profesie všeobecnej sestry. V teoretickej časti sú predložené informácie o intenzívnej medicíne s popisom jednotlivých typov pracovísk intenzívnej starostlivosti s charakteristikou prístrojových a personálnych požiadaviek a indikovaných pacientov.
