Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá sledováním rozhraní světla a zvuku v performativním umění. Zaměřuje se především na prostředí nonverbálního divadla a multimediálních instalací, které jsou předmětem autorova hlavního zájmu. Systematizuje pohledy na dialog světla a zvuku pomocí třech logických celků: Perspektivy technické, dramaturgicko-estetické a perspektivy psychologie umění. Technická perspektiva se opírá o poznatky věd, jako je optika (paprsková, vlnová a kvantová) a fotoniky (elektrooptiky, optoelektroniky a optotroniky). Dramaturgicko-estetická perspektiva navazuje na myšlenky významných divadelních vědců Jana Císaře, Otakara Zicha, či Eriky Fischer-Lichte. Perspektiva psychologie umění čerpá zejména z publikací psychologa Jiřího Kulky a Bohumila Nusky, významného odborníka zabývajícího se rytmem. Zkoumané způsoby dialogu demonstruje na množství konkrétních příkladů uměleckých děl a zejména na třech případových studiích, jež sledují autorovy hlavní okruhy zájmu, kterými jsou audiovizuální instalace Sin Titulo, prostředí freetekno party a dílo moderního tance Humpback Runner. Závěr práce je věnován představení konceptu vlastní audiovizuální instalace, zvané Kvantový bubeník, jež čerpá z řady poznatků, představených v průběhu práce.

Abstract:

The master thesis is observing the topic of borderline between light and sound in the performing arts. It is mainly focused on the environment of non-verbal theatre and multimedia installations that are the main interest of the author. The work systematizes different views on the dialogue between light and sound using three coherent units: Technical perspective, dramaturgical and aesthetical perspective and the perspective of the psychology of art. The arguments of technical perspective are based on the scientific information from the field of optics (beam, wave, and quantum optics) and photonics (electro-optics, opto-electronics and optotronics). Dramaturgical and aesthetical perspective follows ideas of theatre theorists Jan Císař, Otakar Zich, or Erika Fischer-Lichte. The perspective of the psychology of art presents ideas drawing mostly from publications of a psychologist Jiří Kulka and from Bohumil Nuska, who is an important specialist in the theory of rhythm. Various types of the dialogue between light and sound are demonstrated on the examples of artworks following author’s fields of interest, mainly with usage of three case studies which are: audiovisual installation Sin Titulo, environment of freetekno parties and a modern dance production called Humpback Runner. The last part of the thesis is presenting author’s own concept of artistic audiovisual installation called Quantum drummer, based on various knowledge that has been introduced in the text.
