Analysis of the Financial Statements in the Company Dell comparison with HP within 2013 - 2009

Abstract:

The primary aim of this thesis was to run the financial analysis of one of the major companies in the computer/technology industry, Dell, compare it with its major competitor HP, and provide recommendations for improvement. The author gives an overview of the main tools and methods of financial analysis and bankruptcy/creditworthiness analysis. Based on the theoretical framework, the author investigates the current financial condition of Dell and HP, compares the two companies, and investigates their main advantages and disadvantages in the context of their financial condition and financial performance. Based on the findings of the research, the author develops recommendations for the companies to improve their financial condition, and thus market position. The thesis should be of interest to persons involved in the research of the financial analysis topic and its practical implications.
