Yersinia pestis: disease, laboratory diagnostics and prevention

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na bakterii Yersinia pestis, která je původcem moru. V práci je uvedena historie tohoto onemocnění, epidemiologie, morfologické vlastnosti bakterie, včetně genetické informace Yersinia pestis. Pozornost je dále věnována faktorům virulence, patogenezi a klinické formě onemocnění. V neposlední řadě tato práce zmiňuje diagnostiku a možnost terapie, prevence.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis is focused on the bacterium Yersinia pestis, which is causative agent of plague. The work presents the history of this disease, epidemiology, morphological charakteristic of bacteria, including genetic information Yersinia pestis. Attention is also paid to factors of virulence, pathogenesis and clinical forms of the disease. Finally, this paper mentions the possibility of diagnostics and the therapy and prevention.
