Superstar and its application on the Czech pop scene

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na reality soutěž Česko hledá SuperStar a její vliv na tuzemskou hudební scénu. Zprvu jsou vysvětleny pojmy a faktory, které s podobnými talentovými soutěžemi souvisejí a ovlivňují je. Těmi je například reality TV, celebritizace a propojení marketingu s televizí. Praktická část práce je věnována především finalistům soutěže Česko hledá SuperStar a jejích ovlivnění hudebního trhu v česku. Součástí je také rozbor úspěšné a neúspěšné kariéry některých finalistů soutěže a tomu, jak si procházeli případnou celebritizací a budováni image. Vzpomenut je zde i velký vliv medií a tisku, pro které byli soutěžící terčem. Průzkum byl věnován také tomu, kde se finalisté všech tří řad soutěže v rámci hudební scény uchytili, a jak naložili se svými dobře rozjetými pěveckými kariérami.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the reality competition Czech SuperStar and its influence on the domestic music scene. Initially, the concepts and factors related to and influencing such talent competitions are explained. These are, for example reality TV, celebritization and the connection of marketing and television. The practical part of the thesis is mainly devoted to the finalists of the competition Czech SuperStar and its influence on the music industry in the Czech Republic. It also includes an analysis of the successful and unsuccessful careers some of the competition's finalists and how they went through potential celebrity and image building. The great influence of the media and press, for whom the contestants were targets, is also mentioned. The survey was also devoted to where the finalists of all three series of the competition have established themselves within the music scene and how they have handled their well-established singing careers.
