Content and structural analysis of the Czech textbooks of history

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá školními učebnicovými řadami dějepisu pro 2. stupeň základních škol z hlediska jejich didaktické vybavenosti, míry obtížnosti textu a obsahové správnosti. Cílem práce bylo zjistit kvalitu současných učebnic dějepisu a podrobit je analýze výše uvedených komponentů, které jsou pro text učebnic klíčové. Při analýze učebnic bylo využito metodologického postupu Jana Průchy, který se jako jeden z mála autorů touto problematikou zabýval. Výsledky práce mohou být využity pedagogy i jejich žáky a pomoci jim tak s vhodným výběrem učebnice dějepisu. Práce vychází z provedeného dotazníkového šetření, které mi posloužilo při výběru nejpoužívanějších učebnic dějepisu. V první části se věnuji teoretickému podkladu pro měření daných parametrů učebnice, kterým se zabývám v druhé - praktické části práce. Praktická část je zaměřena na realizaci výzkumu, je zde uveden přehled všech měření a jejich výsledků, které jsou interpretovány na pozadí grafů a tabulek. V závěru práce se věnuji celkovému zhodnocení a komparaci zkoumaných učebnic.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the history textbooks for elementary schools in terms of didactic equipment, complex text difficulty and content correctness of the textbooks. The aim of this thesis was to find out the quality of contemporary textbooks in connection with the mentioned constituents. Jan Prucha's writings were chosen as a basis for our thesis, because he was the only one who was interested in this topic. The results of the thesis can be used by the teachers or their students to help them with their choice of the best history textbook. The thesis is written on the basis of the questionnaire which helped me with the sample of the most widely used history textbooks. I discuss the theoretical background of the main parameters in the former part of the thesis. The practical part is focused on the overall evaluation which is interpreted on the basis of the graphs and charts. The conclusion deals with the final evaluatin and comparative of the chosen textbooks.
