Conservative treatment for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) traumatic injuries

Abstract:

The knee joint is one of the most complex and delicate of our body. It supports body weight and for this reason its dysfunction causes both static and dynamic instability. Articular stability is linked to the integrity of the joint and ligament capsule (passive stabilization) and the tension of the muscle-tendon structures that fit in close to the articulation (active stabilization). My interest has been to rehabilitate frontal crest ligaments of people who can be treated non-surgically (elderly patients in most cases) and therefore willing to reduce functional knee demands The anatomy and the physiology of the knee joint have been briefly illustrated, followed followed by an evaluation of the frontal crest ligament injury, physical therapy, motor re-education and MS reinforcement, propriocytic and Hydroclinics (non-surgical or conservative treatment).

Abstract:

L'articolazione del ginocchio ? una delle pi? complesse e delicate del nostro organismo. Sostiene il peso corporeo e per questo motivo una sua disfunzione provoca instabilit? sia statica che dinamica. La stabilit? articolare ? legata all'integrit? della capsula articolare e legamentosa (stabilizzazione passiva) e alla tensione delle strutture muscolo-tendinee che si inseriscono in prossimit? dell'articolazione stessa (stabilizzazione attiva). Il mio interesse si ? rivolto alla riabilitazione del legamento crociato anteriore di persone che possono essere trattate non chirurgicamente (pazienti anziani, nella maggior parte dei casi) e quindi disposti a ridurre le richieste funzionali del ginocchio.
