Water quality of the Svratka River during the construction of flood protection measures

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na sledování fyzikálních a chemických parametrů vody v řece Svratce v oblasti, kde probíhá výstavba protipovodňových opatření. Cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit vliv těchto stavebních prací na kvalitu vody v daném úseku. Vzorky vody byly odebírány nad a pod místem stavby, a následně analyzovány na obsah kyslíku, pH, vodivost, teplotu a další chemické parametry. Výsledky ukázaly značnou variabilitu v hodnotách těchto parametrů v průběhu sledovaného období. Dále bylo zjištěno, že vyšší průtoky v řece jsou spojeny s vyššími koncentracemi některých látek, jako je fosfor a železo. Výsledky byly dále porovnány s normou ČSN 757221 klasifikace kvality povrchových vod, která ukázala, že některé hodnoty překračují limity stanovené touto normou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the monitoring of physical and chemical parameters of water in the river Svratka in the area where the construction of flood protection measures is underway. The aim of the research was to determine the influence of these construction works on the water quality in the given section. Water samples were taken above and below the construction site and subsequently analyzed for oxygen content, pH, conductivity, temperature and other chemical parameters. The results showed considerable variability in the values of these parameters over the period under study. It was also found that higher flows in the river were associated with higher concentrations of certain substances such as phosphorus and iron. The results were further compared with the standard CSN 757221 classification of surface water quality, which showed that some values exceed the limits set by this standard.
