Tato práce je zaměřena na vývoj veřejné správy v severozápadní části české republiky, konkrétně na oblast teplického okresu. Nejdříve jsem se zaměřil na vývoj správy na našem území a to jak z pohledu vývoje celkového tak i na obecní úrovni. Následuje charakteristika regionu z pohledu minulosti a doby dnešní.
