Delight or On today's young cinematography

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je neoformalistická analýza filmu Rozkoš (2013) režisérky Jitky Rudolfové. Skládá se ze dvou hlavních částí. V první, kterou je kapitola o kulturně-historickém kontextu, mapuje prostředí autorského filmu současných mladých tvůrců a charakterizuje jejich postavení v české kinematografii obecně. Druhá část, už samotná neoformalistická analýza, se soustředí na dominantu snímku, která se zakládá na způsobu konstrukce filmového fikčního světa prostřednictvím asynchronní skladby obrazu a zvuku a sebeuvědomělých vyprávěcích nástrojů.

Abstract:

The purpose of the bachelor thesis is a neoformalist analysis of the film Delight (Rozkoš, 2013) directed by Jitka Rudolfová. The thesis comprises two main parts. In the first part, which is a chapter about the cultural and historical context, the authorial film environment of young contemporary artists is assessed and its position in Czech cinema as a whole is characterised. The second part – the neoformalist analysis itself – focuses on a prominent feature of the film: the construction of the film’s fictional world by means of asynchronous placement of image and sound as well as purposeful use of narrative instruments.
