Management focused on supporting education of employees in the hotel industry

Abstract:

My bachelor's thesis is aimed at approaching the issue of education of employees in the hotel industry, which also represents its main goal. The work is divided into three parts. The theoretical part summarizes information about management, employee training but also directly about employee training in the hotel industry. The analytical part is focused on hotel characteristics, its history, current learning methods and specific education in Grand Hotel Permon and Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras. We used a quantitative method - questionnaire to collect data. We surveyed to express the degree of agreement and disagreement with the questions asked, which were to reflect the level of education of employees at the Grand Hotel Permon and the emphasis placed by managers on the progress of their employees. In the final part of the bachelor thesis, I developed proposals for improving the quality of education at the hotel, which I arrived at by the means of the questionnaire responses. The complete conclusion is the overall evaluation of the analytical part.

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca je zameraná na priblíženie problematiky vzdelávania zamestnancov v hotelierstve čo predstavuje aj hlavný cieľ. Práca sa delí na tri časti. V teoretickej časti sú zhrnuté informácie o managemente, vzdelávaní zamestnancov ale aj priamo o vzdelávaní zamestnancov v hotelierstve. Analytická časť je zameraná na charakteristiku Grand Hotela Permon a Grand Hotela Kempinski High Tatras, ich históriu, súčasné metódy vzdelávania a konkrétne vzdelávanie v oboch hoteloch. Na zber dát sa využila kvantitatívna metóda – dotazník. Zisťoval sa ním stupeň vyjadrenia súhlasu a nesúhlasu s položenými otázkami, ktoré mali odzrkadliť, na akej úrovni je vzdelávanie zamestnancov v oboch hoteloch a aký kladú manageri dôraz na napredovanie svojich zamestnancov. V záverečnej časti bakalárskej práce je vypracovaný návrh na zlepšenie kvality vzdelávania v hoteloch, ku ktorým sa dospelo na základe odpovedí z dotazníka. Úplný záver tvorí celkové zhodnotenie analytickej časti.
