Design and Creative Development of an Experimental Website with Science Popularization Content

Abstract:

Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je navrhnúť funkčnú autorskú experimentálnu webovú skúsenosť s dôrazom na kreatívny vývoj, ktorá bude vedecko-populárnym spôsobom pojednávať o téme slobody slova. Teoretická časť práce sa zaoberá experimentálnymi a pohlcujúcimi webovými skúsenosťami z pohľadu histórie webu, kreatívneho vývoja ako samostatnej role v rámci webového dizajnu, ich technických špecifík a nástrojov, experimentálnych UI/UX prvkov, ktoré dopĺňa rozsiahly rešerš existujúcich riešení v tejto oblasti. Súčasťou teoretickej časti je aj rešerš slobody slova, jej historických a filozofických východísk, a jej súčasného stavu. Praktická časť popisuje postup od tvorby obsahu až po samotné riešenie, kde je popísaný proces experimentu a následného návrhu, a to po stránke jeho dizajnu a technického prevedenia.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to design a functional experimental web experience with an emphasis on creative development, that will address the topic of freedom of speech in a science popularization. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses experimental and immersive web experiences in terms of the history of the web, creative development as a distinct role within web design, their technical specifics, and tools, and experimental UI/UX elements, complemented by an extensive research of existing web experiences in the field. The theoretical part also includes research of freedom of speech, its historical and philosophical foundations, and its current state. The practical part describes the process from the creation of the content to the solution itself, describing the process of experimentation and subsequent design, in terms of its design and technical execution.
