Gamification from the perspective of elementary school teachers

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce si klade za cíl zjistit, jak učitelé ZŠ přistupují ke gamifikaci ve vzdělávání. V teoretické části jsou přiblíženy koncepty, které jsou klíčové pro pochopení gamifikace, včetně popisu rozdílu mezi gamifikací a hrou a psychologických aspektů, jako je motivace či autonomie. Dále jsou uvedeny klíčové prvky gamifikace, tedy herní mechanika a herní dynamika, a jejich uplatnění ve výuce. Třetí kapitola se věnuje postojům ve vztahu ke gamifikaci ve vzdělávání. Empirická část se zaměřuje na metodologii výzkumu postaveného na dotazníkovém šetření a v závěru jsou prezentovány výsledky výzkumu.

Abstract:

The Bachelor's thesis aims to investigate how primary school teachers approach gamification in education. The theoretical part presents key concepts necessary for understanding gamification, including the distinction between gamification and game, as well as psychological aspects such as motivation and autonomy. Additionally, the thesis describes the key elements of gamification, namely game mechanics and game dynamics, and their application in education. The third chapter focuses on attitudes towards gamification in education. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on the methodology of a survey-based research and the results are presented at the end.
