Unintentional art - Interpretation in the context of abstract art

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části a zaměřuje se na interpretaci abstraktního umění. V teoretické části práce jsou prezentovány důležité historické okamžiky a vývoj abstraktního umění, zejména abstraktní expresionismus a geometrická abstrakce. Dále jsou zde představeny různé teoretické přístupy k interpretaci abstraktního umění. V rámci praktické části bakalářské práce byly vytvořeny dva obrazy ve stylu Jacksona Pollocka, na které navazuje jejich následná interpretace. Hlavním cílem této práce je ukázat, že abstraktní umění může mít i hlubší význam a že existují konkrétní interpretace, které umožňují jeho porozumění.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical and practical part and focuses on the interpretation of abstract art. In the theoretical part of the work, important historical moment and the development of abstract art are presented, specifically abstract expressionism and geometric abstraction. Furthermore, various theoretical approaches to the interpretation of abstract art are presented here. As part of the practical part of the bachelor's thesis, two paintings in the style of Jackson Pollock were created, followed by their subsequent interpretation. The main goal of this works is to show that abstract art can have a deeper meaning and that there are concrete interpretations that allow its understanding.
