Idioms with the somatic component leg / legs in Russian language and their translation to Czech language

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on Russian phraseological units containing the somatic component "leg/legs" and also focuses on a search of their equivalents in the Czech language. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part we introduce phraseology as a linguistic discipline, its history and its main representatives. We also focus on Russian and Czech phraseology, define basic phraseological terms, characteristic features of idioms and give a classification of the idioms that we studied. In the practical part, the idioms are divided according to degree of equivalence when comparing the Czech and Russian languages. Finally we give examples of the use of the idioms in Russian and their translation into Czech. A list of references and a bilingual glossary is part of the thesis.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá ruskými frazeologickými jednotkami obsahujícími somatický komponent "noha/nohy" a hledáním jejich ekvivalentů v češtině. Práce se dělí na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části se seznámíme s frazeologií jakožto lingvistickou disciplínou, s její historií a s lingvisty, kteří se jí zabývali. Dále se zaměříme na ruskou a českou frazeologii, vymezíme si základní frazeologické pojmy, vlastnosti frazeologizmů a zjistíme, podle jakých kritérií se frazeologie dělí. V praktické části rozdělíme frazeologizmy podle stupně ekvivalence, přeložíme a srovnáme ruský jazyk s jazykem českým. Dále pak uvedeme příklady využití frazeologizmů v ruštině a český překlad těchto příkladů. Součástí práce je také terminologický slovník z oblasti frazeologie.
