Abstract:
This thesis examines Imamu Amiri Baraka’s theater plays Dutchman (1964) and The Slave (1964) and Ed Bullins’s We Righteous Bombers (1969) while grounding them in the historical context of the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s.
