Primary school Teachers' views on intergenerational learning and its effect on their practice

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá mezigeneračním učením a jeho dopadem na praxi z pohledu učitelů v prostředí základních škol. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Cílem teoretické části je popis klíčových pojmů práce jako mezigenerační učení a pojmy s ním spjaté. Popisuje mezigenerační učení v prostředí škol, přínosy a úskalí spolupráce učitelů. Definuje formy interakce ve školách a typy mezigeneračního učení ve školách. Vymezuje pojem učitel a jeho profesní vývoj. Praktická část zaznamenává metodologii kvantitativně orientovaného výzkumu, který je realizován dotazníkovým šetřením. Cílem výzkumu je prozkoumat mezigenerační učení, jakou formou mezi učiteli probíhá, jaký směr učení mezi učiteli převládá. Součástí je také to, jaké mají učitelé možnosti spolupráce, zdali je ve škole podporují ve vzájemné spolupráci napříč generacemi. V další části jsou získaná data analyzována a vyhodnocena jednoduchým statistickým popisováním, podle kterého jsou potvrzeny nebo vyvráceny výzkumné hypotézy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of intergenerational learning and its effect on teachers' practice at elementary schools from their own point of view. The paper is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. Goal of the theoretical part is to describe key concepts of intergenerational learning and other concepts that are connected to the learning. It also describes intergenerational learning in the school environment and pros and cons of cooperation between teachers. The thesis defines forms of interactions in schools and types of intergenerational school in there. It specifies the concept of a teacher and his/hers professional development. The practical part deals with the methodology of quantitatively oriented research, which is implemented using questionnaire survey. Research goal is to examine intergenerational learning, which forms of the learning are taking place in schools and which direction prevails in between teachers. Part of the work tries to discover what options of cooperation teachers have and if schools support cooperation across generations. In the next part, obtained data are analyzed and evaluated using simple statistical description, upon which hypotheses are either supported or disproved.
