Image processing - effective algorithms implementing "distance transform" function

Abstract:

Prvním cílem bakalářské práce bylo prostudovat efektivní algoritmy, které realizují distance transform funkci. Potom tyto algoritmy implementovat pro 2D a 3D vstupní binární obrazy a začlenit je do knihovny I3DLIB, která je určena pro zpracování obrazu. Implementované algoritmy naleznete na přiloženém CD. Druhým cílem bakalářské práce bylo prozkoumat výsledky implementovaných algoritmů a zjistit, které pracují v nejkratším možném čase a nebo s minimální možnou chybou. Testování výsledků bylo provedeno pro syntetická data a pro obrazy, které byly nasnímány v Centru Analýzy Biomedicínského Obrazu (CBIA) na Fakultě informatiky Masarykovy univerzity.

Abstract:

The first point of this work was studying effective algorithms, that are able to compute distance transform function. Then these algorithms implemented for 2D and 3D inputting binary images and included them to I3DLIB library, that is destined for images processing. There are implemented algorithms on attached CD. The second point was exploring the results of algorithms and find out, what algorithm works in shortest possible time or with minimal possible error. Testing of results was made for synthetic data and for images, that were scaned in Centre for Biomedical Image Analysis (CBIA) on Faculty of Informatics Masaryk University.
