Visualisation of lossy compression algorithms
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá popisem ztrátového kompresního algoritmu JFIF/JPEG a následným návrhem a implementací aplikace, která vizualizuje průběh komprese a dekomprese tímto algoritmem. Aplikace byla realizována v programovacím jazyku JavaScript a běží lokálně ve webovém prohlížeči uživatele.
Abstract:
This thesis focuses on a description of the JFIF/JPEG lossy compression algorithm and a subsequent implementation of an application which visualises the process of compression and decompression using this algorithm. The application is realized in the JavaScript programming language and runs locally in the web browser of the user.
