Investment Wines and the Detection of Their Counterfeits

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem investičních vín a problematikou jejich padělků. V úvodu je představena historie vína jako významného ekonomického a společenského artiklu od starověku po současnost. Práce analyzuje vývoj tržních cen a možnosti, jak do vín investovat. Detailně jsou prozkoumány charakteristiky investičních vín, důležité vinařské regiony a metodologie pro ověření pravosti vín. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována rizikům spojeným s investicemi do vín, včetně známých případů padělání lahví. Popsány jsou také strategie pro detekci falzifikátů a preventivní opatření proti nákupu padělků. Cílem práce je poskytnout komplexní přehled trhu s investičními víny a zdůraznit potřebu lepší ochrany a bezpečnosti při jejich obchodování.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis addresses the topic of investment wines and the issue of their counterfeits. The introduction presents the history of wine as a significant economic and social commodity from antiquity to the present. The thesis analyzes the development of market prices and options for investing in wines. It thoroughly examines the characteristics of investment wines, important wine regions, and methodologies for verifying the authenticity of wines. Special attention is given to the risks associated with wine investments, including well-known cases of bottle counterfeiting. Strategies for detecting forgeries and preventive measures against purchasing counterfeit wines are also described. The goal of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the investment wine market and emphasize the need for better protection and security in their trading.
