Connecting i3dlib Library to Matlab

Abstract:

The goal of the project is connecting the i3dlib library to Matlab. The project has the following steps: * understanding the i3dlib library (http://www.fi.muni.cz/~pem/i3dlib/html/) * studying the creation of MEX-files which allow calling C++ functions from Matlab * design and implementation of a set of macroes and functions which allow the easy development of MEX-files for functions of the i3dlib library. The goal is to make the manipulation and conversion of types as flexible as possible and maintaining further extensibility * using the framework connecting the following functions to Matlab: o all the functions of the Distance transform section o classes and functions of the Image preprocessing filters section o functions FastMarchingMethod, LocalRadius, GeodesicDistance a FindContourLevel (PDE based image segmentation methods section) o functions of the Mathematical morphology section * creation of a documentation
