Gesture recognition

Abstract:

V této práci je rozpracován postup rozpoznávání gest zadaných pomocí myši či jiného podobného polohovacího zařízení, jež je standardní součástí dnešního způsobu komunikace s počítačem. Cílem bylo také vytvoření knihovny, jejímž vstupem je trajektorie gesta a výstupem jeho klasifikace. Nejprve je krátce popsáno gesto jako takové. V následující kapitole je podrobně rozebrána problematika rozpoznávání gest, hlouběji se věnuje statistické metodě. V další části je tento přístup konkretizován a aplikován. Dále následuje několik slov k samotné implementaci knihovny GestureRecognizer. Nakonec je věnována jedna kapitola získaným výsledkům použití této knihovny. V příloze je popis veřejných metod této knihovny.

Abstract:

This thesis analyzes the process of recognizing gestures entered using mouse or similar positioning device which is a standard part of current computer interface. The goal was to create a library which input would be a gesture trajectory and output the gesture classification. Firstly the gesture itself is described. The next chapter concerns the question of gesture recognition, specificaly describes the statistical method. In the next chapter this approach is concretized and applied. Few words about the implementation of the GestureRecognizer library follow. In the end a chapter is devoted to the results of usage of this library. Public methods of the library are described in the appendix.
