Visitor's profile of a chosen tourism destination

Abstract:

Předložená diplomová práce je zaměřena na sestavení profilu návštěvníka vybrané destinace. Cílem této práce je analyzovat poptávku na trhu cestovního ruchu ve zvolené destinaci s následným sestavením profilu návštěvníka destinace Karlovarský kraj a navržení zlepšujících opatření a doporučení pro subjekty cestovního ruchu působící v této destinaci. Nejprve je charakterizován cestovní ruch, jeho druhy a formy, dále jsou nadefinovány objekty a subjekty cestovního ruchu. Následně je vymezen trh cestovního ruchu tvořený nabídkou a poptávkou a poté je blíže přiblížena vybraná destinace Karlovarský kraj a atraktivity nacházející se na jejím území. Analýza poptávky probíhala na základě dotazníkového šetření. Celkový počet vybraných dotazníků od českých i zahraničních turistů je 591, z čehož zahraniční činí 60. Na základě výsledků této analýzy jsou navrhnuta zlepšující opatření a doporučení pro další rozvoj cestovního ruchu v destinaci.

Abstract:

The submitted master´s thesis is focused on compiling the profile of the visitor of the chosen destination. The aim of this work is to analyze the demand on the tourism market in the chosen destination with the subsequent compilation of the profile of the visitor to the destination Karlovy Vary Region and proposing improving measures and recommendations for tourism operators operating in this destination. First, tourism, its types and forms are characterized, then the objects and subjects of tourism are defined. Subsequently, the tourism market is defined, consisting of supply and demand, and then the chosen destination Karlovy Vary Region and the attractions located on its territory are closer to each other. The demand analysis was based on a quwstionnaire survey.The total number of selected questionnaires from Czech and foreign tourists is 591, of which 60 are foreign. Based on the results of this analysis, improving measures and recommendations for further development of tourism in the destination are proposed.
