The symbol of the cross in public space
Abstract:
V práci je představen kříž jakožto křesťanský náboženský symbol ve veřejném prostoru sekularizované evropské společnosti. Je vymezena jeho role, legalita, legitimita a přijatelnost v tomto prostoru. Dále se práce zaměřuje na symbol kříže v prostředí České republiky, která je nejen sekularizovaným státem, ale i státem nejvíce ateistickým, a to nejen v rámci evropského prostoru, ale i světa.
Abstract:
The work presents the cross as a Christian religious symbol in the public space of a secularized European society. Its role, legality, legitimacy and acceptability in this space are defined.
