Medical rehabilitation plan and process in posttraumatic cases of spine and spinal cord injuries

Abstract:

The bachelor’s thesis aims on topic of a traumatic lesion of spine and spinal cord. The general section deals with the anatomy of spine and spinal cord and pathophysiology, which is caused by the injury of spinal cord. The general part continues with a brief summary of traumatology of spine and spinal cord and of their diagnosing. The special part describes the comprehensive rehabilitation of the patients with traumatic lesion of spine and spinal cord. The emphasis is put on the general means of rehabilitation, as well as on the special ones. The thesis involves also a case study of a patient with traumatic injury of the spine on the level of C5.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zameriava na problematiku traumatického poškodenia chrbtice a miechy. V obecnej časti sa zaoberá anatómiou chrbtice a miechy a taktiež patofyziológiou, ktorá nastáva práve kvôli poraneniu miechy. Ďalej obecná časť pokračuje stručným zhrnutím traumatológie chrbtice a miechy a ich diagnostikovaním. Špeciálna časť sa zaoberá ucelenou rehabilitáciou pacientov s poranením chrbtice a miechy. Dôraz je kladený rovnako na základné prostriedky rehabilitácie, ako aj na špeciálne. V práci je zhrnutá aj kazuistika pacienta po traumatickom poškodení chrbtice na úrovni C5.
