Suggestion and evaluation of the investment project for the chosen company with a focus on an alternative way of financing sources

Anotace:

The goal of this thesis is to insight the evaluation of the efficiency of the investment project in Adaptimmune company, financed by the alternative way of financing. It would be done to show a student’s ability to implement the knowledge gained form Bachelor studies on practice. The investment project about the purchase of Cell Incubator would be suggested and thoroughly analyzed. Furthermore, three next research questions would be analyzed and answered: “What investment project would suit the chosen company? Is it better to use alternative finance over the traditional bank loan to fund the presented investment project of the chosen company? Is the project worth to invest?”

Abstract:

The goal of this thesis is to insight the evaluation of the efficiency of the investment project in Adaptimmune company, financed by the alternative way of financing. It would be done to show a student’s ability to implement the knowledge gained form Bachelor studies on practice. The investment project about the purchase of Cell Incubator would be suggested and thoroughly analyzed. Furthermore, three next research questions would be analyzed and answered: “What investment project would suit the chosen company? Is it better to use alternative finance over the traditional bank loan to fund the presented investment project of the chosen company? Is the project worth to invest?” Most information for the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is taken from sufficient web sources, statistical databases, and annual reports of Adaptimmune. The data were critically analyzed and implemented on a practical part of the bachelor thesis, where the data about the chosen company had been taken from the primary source. Furthermore, in the practical section, the chosen major focus of Adaptimmune regarding CAR T-cell therapies would be described; the full financial analysis would be made and sufficiently commented. As the next step, the investment project would be suggested based on the result of researches and evaluation of the company’s financial situation. Static methods (such as total cash flow and average cash flow) and dynamical methods (such as Net Present Value, Profitability index, and Annuity) of evaluation of investment projects would be calculated. The possible development and potential outcomes of the project would be fully explained and calculated using the three main scenarios: optimistic, pessimistic, and neutral. Eventually, based on the researches, calculations, and evaluation of the company and investment project, suggestions would be given, and the conclusion would be made. In conclusion, the answers to the research questions would be presented.
