Diplomová práce seznamuje čtenáře s problematikou tabuizovaného tématu umírání a smrti a možnostmi ovlivnění kvality života v jeho terminálním stadiu. Zaměřuje se na paliativní a hospicovou péči o umírající. Snahou je čtenáři ukázat, že umírání a smrt jsou přirozenou součástí lidského života. The goal of this thesis is to deal with the issues of a taboo topic of dying and death and possibilities of influencing the quality of life in its termunal stage. It focuses on a palliative and hospice care for dying people. The effort of this work is to show that dying and death are natural parts of a human life.
