French gastronomic terminology : What orthographic variation in Czech menus

Abstract:

The final bachelor thesis is focused linguistically on French terminology in the gastronomy section. The aim of this work is to research French terms in gastronomy and their spelling variation in the Czech ambience. This survey is focused on the spelling of French words in Czech menus. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and analytical part. The first, theoretical part follows up with the occurrence of French expressions in the Czech ambience. The second part, analytical, analyzes the formation and transcription of French expressions into Czech language. It contains examples of menus and beverages of Czech gastronomic establishments, restaurants, cafés and pâtisseries, which prove that French terminology has become an integral part of Czech gastronomy.

Le mémoire de licence est axé sur la linguistique et traite de la terminologie française dans le domaine de la gastronomie. L'objectif de ce travail est de rechercher les expressions françaises du domaine de la gastronomie et leur variation orthographique dans l'environnement tch?que. Cette enqu?te se concentre sur la question de l'orthographe des mots français dans les menus de plats et de boissons tch?ques. Le travail est divisé en deux parties: la partie théorique et la partie analytique. La premi?re partie, théorique, traite de l'occurrence des expressions françaises dans l'environnement tch?que. La seconde partie, c'est-?-dire analytique, analyse la formation et la transcription des expressions françaises en tch?que. Il contient des exemples de menus d'aliments et de boissons d'entreprises gastronomiques tch?ques, de restaurants, de cafés et de confiseries, qui prouvent que la terminologie française est devenue une partie intégrante de la gastronomie tch?que.
