Implementation of management techniques in organization of the President Cup hockey tournament.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o využití manažerských technik při organizování čtyř-denního mezinárodního mládežnického hokejového turnaje President Cup. Cílem práce je zhodnotit vhodnost použití vybraných manažerských technik a následně specifikovat návrhy na zlepšení v individuálních situacích.Práce je zpracována formou případová studie zaměřená na využití vybraných manažerských technik. V teoretické části jsou definovány pojmy z oblasti managementu, sportovního managementu či projektového managementu, včetně vymezení specifik daných oborů. V praktické části je zhodnocen postup a použití manažerských technik v průběhu organizování turnaje. Součástí práce je hodnocení organizace turnaje od trenérů zúčastněných mužstev a vize příštího ročníku s již podniknutými kroky.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with using specific management techniques while organising four-days long international youth hockey tournament President Cup. The aim of the thesis is precise use of selected management techniques and detail reflection, including suggestion of better solution of individual situations in the future. The thesis is comprises case study of using chosen management techniques. In the theoretical part there are defined terms from the fields such as management, sport management or project management including focus on the specifics of these fields. The procedure and the way of using the management techniques during the tournament organising is analysed in the practical part. The thesis contains evaluation of the tournament organisation from the coaches of participating teams including vision and steps which have been already made in terms of the next tournament annual.
