Testing the use of tree trunk injection as a way to protect individual ash trees Fraxinus excelsior L. against infection by the pathogenic fungus Hymenoscyphus fraxineus.

Abstract:

V posledních letech lze zaznamenat velmi kvalitní výsledky při ochraně dřevin vůči houbovým chorobám a hmyzím škůdcům pomocí technologie stromové injektáže, tato práce tedy má za cíl otestovat čtyři účinné látky – tebukonazol, hydroxid měďnatý, seleničitan sodný a nanotechnologie selenu. Ty byly aplikovány pomocí mikro-injektáže do 60 jasanů ztepilých (Fraxinus excelsior) shodného věku a rostoucích ve stejných klimatických podmínkách. Tyto dřeviny byly před injektáží inokulovány dvěma kulturami Chalara fraxinea, u kterých se na konci experimentu podařilo verifikovat, že jejich patogenita byla obdobná. Následně byl sledován růst podkorních nekróz po dobu devíti měsíců. Posléze se díky analýzám délek a ploch jednotlivých podkorních nekróz u jednotlivých variant podařilo potvrdit stanovené hypotézy. Tedy že nejúspěšnější v potlačování patogenu Hymenoscyphus fraxineus bude přípravek s obsahem nanočástic selenu a naopak nejméně úspěšný že bude přípravek Champion 50 WP s účinnou látkou hydroxidu měďnatého.

Abstract:

In recent years, very good results can be observed in the protection of trees against fungal diseases and insect pests using tree injection technology, so this work aims to test four active substances - tebuconazole, copper hydroxide, sodium selenite and selenium nanotechnology. These were applied by micro-injection to 60 ash trees (Fraxinus excelsior) of the same age and growing in the same climatic conditions. These tree species were inoculated with two srains of Chalara fraxinea prior to injection, and it was verified at the end of the experiment that their pathogenicity was similar. Subsequently, the growth of underbark necrosis was monitored for nine months. Subsequently, analyses of the lengths and areas of the individual root necroses of each variant allowed to confirm the hypotheses. That is, that the most successful in suppressing the pathogen Hymenoscyphus fraxineus would be the product containing selenium nanoparticles and, on the contrary, the least successful would be Champion 50 WP with the active ingredient copper hydroxide.
