The Humour in the Works of Václav Čtvrtek

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu humoru v dětské literatuře, konkrétně v díle Václava Čtvrtka. V práci se zaměříme na autorův preferovaný literární žánr ? autorskou pohádku. V teoretické části se budeme věnovat vymezení tohoto žánru, přiblížíme si problematiku literární komiky a její účinky v dětské literatuře, dále si představíme osobnost Václava Čtvrtka, pokusíme se objasnit poetiku tohoto autora a řekneme si stručně něco o jeho rozsáhlé tvorbě. V praktické části se zaměříme na analýzu tematické a formální roviny a popíšeme si humornou stránku v knihách Lev utekl, Kolotoč v Africe a Kočičiny kocourka Damiána. Cílem bakalářské práce je objasnit problematiku literární komiky, poukázat na konstantní rysy i proměny Čtvrtkovy poetiky a na jednotlivých dílech vysvětlit, v čem spočívá humor tohoto autora.

Abstract:

The bachelor?s dissertation is targeting the topic of humour in child?s literature particularly in Václav Čtvrtek?s masterpiece. This work is aimed on author?s preferred literary genre which is author?s fairy-tale. The theoretical part of this work is engaged in defining the genre. We are going to focus on problems of the literary comic and its affections on child?s literature. Then we are going to introduce the personality of Václav Čtvrtek and clarify his poetics. As last we are going to briefly describe his extensive work. The practical section of this work is focused on analysis thematic and formal part and we are going to depict the amusing piece in following books: The lion escaped, Carousel in Africa and the caterwauling of tomcat called Damian. Aim of the bachelor?s dissertation is to clarify the problems of literary comic point out the concrete features and changes in Čtvrtek?s poetics and explain the humour of this author on his books one by one.
