Impact of climatic conditions on flow rate of selected rivers on Liberec region

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vyhodnocením vývoje patnáctiletých řad průtoků vybraných šesti povodí v Libereckém kraji a jejich vztahem ke srážkovým úhrnům a teplotám. Pro každé povodí byl dále určen a zhodnocen nejvodnější a nejsušší rok na základě průměrného ročního průtoku. Byly vybrány další geografické charakteristiky ovlivňující průtoky řek, které byly vztaženy k variačnímu koeficientu zastupujícímu rozkolísanost řek a na základě toho byla vyvozena míra jejich vlivu na průtoky řek. Těmito charakteristikami jsou lesnatost, jezernatost, míra zastavěného území, sklonitost a hustota říční sítě, slovně pak byly vyhodnoceny geologické poměry a tvar a rozložení říční sítě. Na základě zhodnocení vlivů těchto charakteristik pak byly porovnány vodní toky mezi sebou. Výsledky ukazují dominantní vliv tekutých srážek i sněhové pokrývky na odtokový režim, ale bez výrazného trendu za sledované období. Míry zastavěnosti a lesnatosti povodí ukázaly podstatný vliv na odtokový režim.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the evaluation of fifteen-year discharge records in 6 selected watersheds in the Liberec region and selected watercourses in the Liberec region and their relation to precipitations and temperatures. For each catchment area, the most humid and driest year was determined and evaluated on the basis of the average annual flow. Geographical characteristics influencing river discharge were also selected and related to the coefficient of variation representing river discharge fluctuations. These characteristics include quantitative coefficients of forest cover, lake area, degree of built-up area, slope and density of the river network and a verbal assessment of the geological conditions and the shape and distribution of the river network were evaluated. Based on the evaluation of the effects of these characteristics, the watersheds were then intercompared. The results show a dominant impact of rainfall and snow cover on the runoff regime, however, no clear trend was identified during the study period. The portion of built-up and forested areas in the watersheds also revealed a significant impact on the runoff regime.
