Roma fairytales as a part of the roma ethnicum's culture

Abstract:

Základním cílem této práce je představit specifika romské pohádky a romského pohádkové hrdiny. Tato specifika jsou vysvětlena na konkrétních pohádkách. Skrze charakteristické prvky romských pohádkových příběhů vysvětluje text povahu rom-ského etnika. Pomocí interpretace romských pohádek jsou v textu vyloženy tradice a zvyky romského národa. Práce obsahuje stručný výklad historie Romů a je zde vysvětlen pojem pohádka jako literární žánr - pro lepší pochopení a zvýraznění atypičnosti romských pohádek.

Abstract:

The basic aim of this thesis is to present the specifics of the Romany fairy tale and the Romany fairy-tale hero. These specifics are explained in concrete fairy-tales. The text explains the nature of the Romany minority through the characteristics elements of the Romany fairy-tales. According to the interpretation of the Romany fairy-tales the tradi-tions and customs of the Romany people are demonstrated. The thesis contains a brief history of the Romany people and explains the concept of the Romany fairy-tale as a literary genre – to better understanding and highlight the atypical nature of these tales. Presentment of the Romany fairy-tales is able to serve as a better understanding of the nature of the Romany people.
