Financial Analysis of Theaters Established by the City of Brno and Their Possible Transformation

Anotace:

Magisterská práce Finanční analýza divadelních institucí zřizovaných statutárním městem Brnem a jejich možná transformace si klade za cíl, na základě získaných informací z ročních zpráv divadelních institucí zřizovaných městem Brnem, popsat a identifikovat současný stav ekonomického fungování těchto divadelních institucí. Celá práce se zaměřuje na dvě základní témata. Prvním je situace financování divadelních institucí zřizovaných městem, ke kterému se úzce pojí otázka kulturní politiky České republiky na všech správních úrovních, která toto financování ovlivňuje. Druhým tématem je pak samotná finanční situace jednotlivých divadelních institucí v období 2008 – 2012, která nám poskytne plastický obraz o podobě financování divadelních institucí a jejich nakládání s těmito prostředky. Práce se věnuje situaci divadelních institucí: Národní divadlo Brno, Městské divadlo Brno, Centrum experimentálního divadla a Divadla Radost. V souvislosti s Novým občanským zákoníkem č. 89/2012 Sb., a Zákonem o obchodních korporacích č. 90/2012 Sb., je závěrem zařazena kapitola pojednávající o možných právních formách, do kterých by se divadelní instituce zřizované městem Brnem mohly transformovat.

Abstract:

The thesis Financial Analysis of Theaters Established by the City of Brno and Their Possible Transformation attempts to describe and identify the current economic situation of theaters established by the city of Brno on the basis of information contained in their annual reports. The work deals with two main topics. Firstly, it focuses on financing of theatres established by the city and the closely related issue of cultural policy of the Czech Republic on all administrative levels, which exerts influence on this financing. Secondly, it focuses on the specific financial situation of individual theatres in the period 2008 – 2012, which provides a vivid account of the economic situation of these theatres and their management of resources. The thesis deals with the following theatres: National Theatre Brno, Brno City Theatre, Center for Experimental Theatre and Radost Theatre. In connection with the New Civil Code (No. 89/2012 Coll.) and the Business Corporations Code (No. 90/2012 Coll.), the thesis is concluded by a chapter assessing the possible legal forms into which the theatres established by the city of Brno could be transformed in the future.
