Knowledge of Nurses in the Care of Clients with Peptic Ulcer

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá znalosti všeobecných sester v péči o klienta s peptickým vředem. Práce je členěna na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část obsahuje charakteristiku peptického vředu, zabývá se anatomií a fyziologií žaludku a duodena, klasifikací tohoto onemocnění, je popsána také etiologie a patogeneze peptického vředu, rizikové faktory a prevence. Práce dále obsahuje informace o příznacích, diagnostice, terapii, možných komplikacích a prognóze onemocnění. Teoretickou část uzavírá kapitola, která se věnuje ošetřovatelské péči. Praktická část zkoumá pomocí dotazníkového šetření znalosti všeobecných sester v péči o klienta s peptickým vředem. Výsledky šetření jsou uspořádány do tabulek, grafů a slovních komentářů.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis explores the required knowledge of a nurse when caring for clients with a peptic ulcer. This thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines peptic ulcers, deals with the anatomy and physiology of stomach and duo-denum, and classifies the disease, etiology and pathogenesis. The risk factors and prevention of peptic ulcers are also described. This thesis also includes information about symptoms, diagnostics, therapy, possible complications and prognosis of the disease. The theoretical part concludes with the chapter about nursing care. The practical part explores the knowledge of nurses by using a questionnaire and the results are arranged into tables, graphs and verbally commented.
