The Influence of Korean on English
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá anglickými slovy korejského původu a zaměřuje se na to jak rozmach korejské vlny (Hallyu) ovlivňuje anglický jazyk. V pratické části se věnuje vybraným přejatým korejským slovům a zkoumá jejich frekvenci užívání mezi lety 2013-2023 v online korpusu.
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis aims at English words of Korean origin and focuses on how the global expansion of the Korean Wave (Hallyu) affects the English language. The practical part discusses selected Korean loanwords and examines their frequency of use in the years 2013-2023 in an online corpus.
