Hlavní problémy v sociálním podnikání: Rozvojová pomoc prostřednictvím případové studie bytů Din-Daeng

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou sociálního podnikání a jeho úlohou při řešení sociálních otázek. Mezi hlavní rysy sociálního podnikání patří jeho zaměření na vytváření společenských hodnot, dosažení udržitelného řešení problémů, kterými se zabývá, a posílení jeho příjemců. Tyto charakteristiky dělají ze sociálního podnikání dobrou hnací sílu sociálních změn, což je cíl, který by mohl být srovnatelný s cíli rozvojové pomoci a nevládních organizací. Vědecký výzkum v oblasti sociálního podnikání je však stále v rané fázi. Tato studie má za cíl eliminovat mezeru v literatuře porovnáním sociálního podnikání s rozvojovou pomocí a nevládními organizacemi pomocí případové studie bytů Din-Daeng v Bangkoku. Hlavními metodami používanými v tomto výzkumu jsou pozorování účastníků, hloubkové rozhovory a průzkumy. Výsledky ukazují, že některé sociální otázky, stejně jako ty, které se odrážejí na bytech Din-Daeng, by našly lepší řešení prostřednictvím sociálního podnikání než prostřednictvím oficiální rozvojové pomoci a nevládních organizací. Tato studie dále poskytuje plán sociálního podnikání, který by mohl být použit k řešení otázky bytů Din-Daeng.

Abstract:

This thesis is about social entrepreneurship and its role in addressing social issues. Some of social entrepreneurship’s main features includes its focus on creating social value, achieving a sustainable solution to the problems it addresses, and empowering its recipients. These characteristics turn social entrepreneurship into a good driver of social change, a goal that could be comparable to development aid and NGOs objectives. However, the scientific research around social entrepreneurship is still in its early stages. This study intends to bridge a gap in the literature by comparing social entrepreneurship with development aid and NGOs using a case study of Din-Daeng flat in Bangkok. Participant-observation, in-depth interviews, and surveys are the major methods employed in this research. The results show that some social issues, like the one reflected in the Din-Daeng flats, would find a better solution through social entrepreneurship than through official development aid and NGOs. At the end, this study provides a social entrepreneurship plan that could be used to address Din-Daeng’s issue.
