Growth potential of selected tree species during the transfer to selective cutting forest and Dauerwald at TFE Křtiny

Abstract:

Práce se snažila nalézt příčiny nadprůměrné přirůstavosti stromů. Bylo vybráno 40 nejvíce a 40 nejméně přirůstavých jedinců od každé z dřevin smrku, buku a modřínu. Na nich bylo zkoumáno ovlivnění tloušťkového přírůstu pěti faktory. Data pocházejí z lesnického úseku Borky na Školním lesním podniku Křtiny. Edafické kategorie ovlivňují přirůstavost významně jen u smrku a modřínu. Sklon a expozice terénu nejsou příliš vypovídající. Nejvíce přirůstají stromy v mírně heterogenních porostech a na místech s nízkou mírou konkurence. V závěru jsou formulována lesnicky aplikovatelná doporučení.

Abstract:

The thesis tried to find causes of above-average tree growth. Forty individuals of the best growth and forty individuals of the worst growth in diameter increment of Norway spruce, European beech and European larch were selected. The influence of five factors on the diameter increment of the selected individuals was investigated. The data comes from the Borky forestry district at the area of Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk Forest Křtiny. Edaphic categories significantly affect only increment of the spruce and larch. The slope and exposure of the terrain are not influential. Trees grow the most in slightly heterogeneous stands and in low competition places. In the end, forest-applicable recommendations are formulated.
