Assessment of the risks associated with the use of tattoo inks

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřena na hodnocení rizik spojených s tetováním. Věnuje se stanovení obsahu těžkých kovů v tetovacích barvách, jež jsou kontaminující složky tetovacích barev, pomocí ICP-MS a ICP-OES analýzy. Pro posouzení obsahu nanočástic je hodnocena velikost částic tetovacích barev. Posouzení rizik spojených s tetováním je provedeno na základě vyhodnocení dotazníkového šetření zaměřeném na vnímání rizik spojených s chemickými látkami, tetovacími barvami a procesem tetování pomocí vícerozměrných statistických metod. Jsou posuzovány rozdíly mezi tetovanými a netetovanými respondenty vzhledem k jejich sociálnímu zázemí, psychickému zdraví a rizikovému chování.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the risk assessment associated with tattooing. It deals with the determination of heavy metal content in tattoo inks, which are the contaminating components of tattoo inks, by ICP-MS and ICP-OES analysis. To assess the nanoparticle content, the size of particles of tattoo inks is evaluated. The assessment of the risks associated with tattoos is based on the evaluation of the survey on the perception of risks associated with chemicals, tattoo inks and the process of tattooing by multidimensional statistical methods. Differences between tattooed and non-tattooed respondents are assessed due to their social background, mental health and risky behaviour.
