Bachor přežvýkavců představuje centrum vzniku důležitých látek pro metabolismus dojnice. Mezi ně patří těkavé mastné kyseliny (VFA), konkrétně kyselina octová, propionová a máselná, které v bachoru přežvýkavců vznikají ve velké míře a jsou hlavním zdrojem jejich energie. Abstract:
A rumen represents a centre, in which substances important for metabolism of cows, originate. These substances include volatile fatty acids (VFA), such as acetic acid, propionic acid and butyric acid, that originate in rumen in large quantities. These acids are the main source of cow energy.
