Hospitalization and its Influence on Senior

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá seniory ve věku nad 60 let, které zachycuje v prostředí nemocnice. V úvodu poukazuje na neustálé zvyšování početního zastoupení seniorů v populaci. Dále je čtenáři nabídnut průřez péče o starého člověka v minulosti. Čtenář je seznámen s kvalitou péče v jednotlivých časových obdobích a s popisem tehdejších zdravotnických zařízení pečujících o nemocné staré lidi. Dále předkládá čtenáři zdravotní problémy, se kterými se u seniorů nejčastěji setkáváme. Charakterizuje geriatrického pacienta a především poukazuje na rizika, kterými může být ohrožen při špatné adaptaci na nemocniční prostředí. Klade důraz na význam rodiny pro seniora a tím upozorňuje na výhody domácí péče. Charakterizuje gerontologické ošetřovatelství, geriatrii jako interdisciplinární vědní obor s úzkým vztahem k vnitřnímu lékařství. Ve své průzkumné činnosti věnuji v práci pozornost hospitalizaci a jejímu vlivu na starého člověka. Zjišťuje zda existují rozdíly ve vlivu hospitalizace na muže a ženy, na osamocené seniory a osoby mající vazbu na rodinu. Tato fakta jsou detailně rozebrána v praktické části práce. V závěru poukazuji na zjištěné nedostatky a nabízím možnosti jejich řešení.

Abstract:

This work is dealing with seniors older than 60 years, who are in the hospital environment. In the introductory part of the work the permanent increasing number of older people in the population is shown. Further the profile of the care of the old people in the past is offered. The reader is informed with the care quality in the individual periods of time and the description is offered of the then sanitary facilities in which the care for old ill people was carried out. Further this work shows the health problems which are most frequent by the seniors. The work charakterizes the geriatric patient and especially points out the risks by the wrong adaptation to the hospital environment. It accentuates the importance of the family and the home environment for the senior and thus calls out our attention to the advantages of the home care. It characterizes the gerontology nursery, the geriatrics as a cross-disciplinary branch of science with a close relation to the internal medicine. In my research work I pay attention to the hospitalization and its effect on the old patients. I tried to identify whether differences exist in the effect of the hospitalization on the men or women, on the lonesome seniors and the persons with binding to the family. These facts are analyzed in details in the practical part of the work. At the close I show the localized deficiencies and offer the possibilities of their solution.
