Human dignity as a concept and practise in social work

Abstract:

Cílem mé práce je pochopení konceptu důstojnosti v sociální práce. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, v teoretická část se zaměřuje na vymezení několika konceptů důstojnosti jako takové. Dále popisuje explicitní a implicitní výskyt důstojnosti v českém právním systému, osobní postoje a oblasti respektování lidské důstojnosti. Praktická část přibližuje použité metody a postupy pro provedení výzkumu. Tato část zmiňuje cíle výzkumu, průběh sběru dat. Výzkum byl proveden formou kvalitativního výzkumu, sběr dat proběhl formou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Získaná data byla analyzována metodou tematické analýzy. Informanti byli sociálními pracovníky na vedoucích pozicích a pocházel z jiného typu služby.

Abstract:

The aim of my thesis is to understand the concept of dignity in social work. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part focuses on defining several concepts of dignity as such. It also describes the explicit and implicit appearance of dignity in the Czech legal system, personal attitudes and areas of respect for human dignity. The practical part presents the methods and procedures used to conduct the research. This part mentions the objectives of the research, the course of data collection. The research was conducted in the form of qualitative research, data collection was conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews. The collected data was analyzed using thematic analysis method. The informants were social workers in managerial positions and came from a different type of service
