Adaptation Strategies of Immigrants in Pardubice Region

Abstract:

Budoucí předkládaná bakalářská práce bude představovat antropologickou interpretaci skoro dvouletého výzkumu zaměřeného na proces adaptace imigrantek z Moldavska, Ukrajiny, Kazachstánu a Ruska do konkrétní restaurace v Pardubicích, která je součástí obchodní korporace XYZ a do její majoritní společnosti. Pozornost bude věnována všem kontextům, které s fenoménem adaptační strategie souvisí. Analyzován bude život čtyř imigrantek. Počínaje fázemi rozhodování o migraci do České republiky, přes adaptační strategii do české společnosti a konče jednáním majoritní společnosti. Interpretace bude provedena jak z etické, tak z emické perspektivy, tedy s velkým důrazem kladeným na subjektivní prožívání integrace a adaptace migrantek samotných.

Abstract:

The presented bachelor's thesis is an anthropologistic interpretation of my research, which lasted nearly two years and is focused on the adaptation of specific immigrant women from Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Russia to a specific restaurant in Pardubice owned by the commercial corporation XYZ and to its society. Every context related to the adaptation strategy phenomenon is considered. Analysis of the lives of the four immigrants begins with their decision to migrate to the Czech republic, their strategy towards adaptation to Czech society and ends with the behaviour of the majority of society. The nterpretation is performed from both en ethic and emic perspective which means the emphasis is put on a subjective experience of an immigrant's adaptation.
